Fenwick Island State Park
Dubed the Quiet Resorts this beach is the best of the best Delaware has to offer in my humble opinion! My family picks this beach first whenever choosing which beach to head to for convenience, cleanliness of the beach, and natural beauty.
The beach is situated on the east side of Coastal Hwy. North just north of the Fenwick Island town proper. It has a large bath house with showers, snacks & restrooms but best among those who arrive early is the ability to park at the sand without fear of parking tickets! There is a nominal fee by the car load which is varies and be found with this link: http://www.destateparks.com/park/fenwick-island/index.asp Annual passes can be ordered on the site as well.
This spot is a little more than 2 miles from our property but well worth the fun and worry-free days spent lazing on a beautiful beach!
Golf at the Beach!!
A lovely guest coming to our townhome this summer has inquired about golf at the beach for her spouse who’s an avid golfer. Well, Francis & I don’t golf but really should since most of our friends and relatives love it. So…I went on a hunting expedition and found a terrific spot online with an abundance of listings for golf courses at the beach. Find everything you need for a perfect golfing vacation at Golflink.
Sand Sculpting Competition 2011

Thank you, Linda for asking about this terrific annual event! My family and I were at the beach this past weekend and were wondering about it also. Enjoy!!

Fenwick Island Approves Beach Mats
http://www.delawareonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/201104240708/NEWS/110424004 The Town Council of Fenwick Island has approved the purchase of mats which will serve as walkways across the beach dunes this year. My husband and I enjoyed a day on the beach a couple Sundays back in Hollywood, FL where these are in use and thought they were a wonderful idea. For the disabled, older, and the youngest beachgoers they make enjoying the beach so much easier. We are thrilled that our little beach town is adding them too! Hopefully Delaware Seashore State Park will join in and add them to the best beach around at their site in Fenwick Island!!
Historic Super Moon Over the Beach in Fenwick Island
Spring has sprung and summer is right around the corner. Hooray!! We sure are looking forward to summer after this crazy winter past.
My husband and I took a romantic stroll on the beach in Fenwick to enjoy this amazing site. It is rare we get to see a full moon over the ocean so we thoroughly enjoyed the view!
Summer rentals are in full swing. If you’d like to inquire about a rental this summer please contact us via email at rba0422@gmail.com. There aren’t many weeks left so please hurry!

Come On Down, The Fishin’s Great!
Yesterday morning, bright and early, we met an interesting man from Pittsburgh. He was bubbling over with stories about the great fishing in Bayville Shores, said he caught a 28″ bass in the middle lake outside. This morning my granddaughter and the family were jumping up and down at the sight of him on our little crabbing pier outide the Florida room with another huge bass. This gentleman knows a little something about life’s simple pleasures and was beaming ear to ear with the attention he was garnering. I know the young couple and their children will remember the older man and his big fish on their Fenwick Island vacation!
June 8th is World Oceans Day!
If you love the beach check this out and do something! These are some precarious times we’re are living in and we need to get busy to fix the Gulf and stop that oil before it reaches us. I hope we never see rigs off the coast of Delaware. Go to The Ocean Project and celebrate World Oceans Day .
